As we gravitate toward an era of hybrid working, the digital skills of the workforce are likely to need to increase. Students will need to prepare for a reality in which their digital skills are continually put to the test.
Ellie Drew and Arielle Redman delivered an interesting, interactive workshop on this topic. Participants were invited to share ideas through the use of a Google Jamboard. The speakers explored current themes in the literature surrounding the digital divide and digital skills in the workplace and considered the impact this has on the demands on graduates. The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including how we break down barriers and use technology to transform teaching for the benefit of all students.
